Техника старта ( Launching techniques)
✅ Launching techniques Landing and Launching There are a few techniques to help you launch out through the surf more easily. Learning On a beach with a shallow profile where the water stays shallow for a while, you need to walk out until the kayak is just floating. Watch the waves so that you can pick a suitable time that gives you a chance to put your spray deck on. You can use your hands on the sand to help the kayak stay straight. If you do get turned by the wave it is hard to get back straight again. To help with this try putting the kayak on its edge. This will put less kayak in contact with the sand making it easier. If the beach has a steeper profile you can get in on the beach and put your spray deck on fully before using your hands to slide down the beach into the water. Keeping the blade active as you paddle out will give you stability and power as a wave hits you. Try to time your stroke so that as the wave makes contact with the bow of your kayak you do your last power stroke and then reach over and into the wave to pull you forward. However, speed is the most important factor to help you punch out through the surf. If you don't want to get taken towards the beach by a wave make sure you are pointing straight at it. You should be able to have a small angle on smaller waves if you need to make progress across the surf zone. As a last resort, you could try capsizing before the wave hits you to stop it knocking you backward. This is only really needed on big waves and it is better to have a solid technique and good timing instead of doing this. Exercise 1. Practice getting in off the beach. Isolate this skill and repeat it 10 times. Don't paddle right out just get to the point where you are in the kayak paddling with the deck on. Then get back out of the kayak and try again. The more you practice this the better. Paddlers often only do this at the start of a session once and so don't improve very quickly. You need to practice multiple times and try new techniques to improve. 2. Hold your position in the break zone of the surf and practice your active blade timing. The aim is to hold your position in the most challenging part of the surf. This is a great confidence booster as it will make you feel as though you can handle the surf you are in even if you time it badly and get the biggest waves to hit you. Make sure you are doing this exercise in a safe location with safety in place. Remember all of these exercises are designed for the surf with a wave face of up to 1m. Move on when... You can smoothly launch off the beach and paddle out through 1m waves using an active blade and reaching over the wave. @Baskitravel ℹ️Видео с ресурса OSK https://www.onlineseakayaking.com/ Смотрите через Яндекс браузер с Алисой
