NASA selected SpaceX to launch the Dragonfly drone to Titan, Saturns largest moon, using Falcon Heavy. The mission, part of the New Frontiers program, aims to search for signs of microbial life by analyzing Titans surface and atmosphere. The $960 million contract covers launch and mission expenses, with launch scheduled for July 5–25, 2028, and arrival in 2034. Dragonfly, a rotorcraft similar to Mars helicopters, will explore Titans dense atmosphere, collect samples, and study prebiotic chemistry in its carbon-rich environment.
