jumonji no kata kihon happo no kata

One of the fundamental kata in the Bujinkan is the kihon happo no kata. This is a kata of three types of koshi jutsu, which contain (if understood correctly) almost all types of strikes and defense. But you need to approach it not as a method of self-defense, but as a principle to a technique. Here is shown the third kata of kihon sanpo koshijutsu - jumonji no kata, but in the manner of performing itimonji no kata. For simplicity, we can say that this is a block and a blow in front of the located hand. The kamae from which this kata is performed is more towards perpendicular work against the opponent. Here we pass to the enemy at close range, hands folded in a cross give a lot of advantages, but for a primitive, it’s just protection from a further blow, we perform the block with the back of the hand located, while we strike in front of the located one. We perform the third kata in the manner of the first, ichimonji. this gives us speed and surprise for the enemy.
