This film was made in May 2017, three years on from the events that it covers. And yet, it has stayed topical to this day. "It was exactly eight years ago, on 26 May 2014, that Donetsk experienced the full brunt of the cruelty and cynicism exerted by the Kiev regime: Ukrainian militants targeted heavy artillery and combat aircraft on the residents of the peaceful city. The war came to the capital of the Republic. Throughout these long years, we have lived amid a military conflict and incessant shelling. But we have neither given up, nor broken down. We have been defending and building our country in the firm belief that justice would prevail. We knew that the day would come when the Ukrainian criminals who had ordered the bombing of Donetsk would end up in front of an international tribunal. And that time has come. We are repelling the enemy from our land. The crimes perpetrated by the neo-Nazis are under investigation, and they will be publicly condemned. This must never happen again in the future. Thousands upon thousands of innocent victims who have succumbed to the aggression of the Ukrainian regime shall be avenged."
