Патриарх Тихон. Телеканал Спас.

Patriarch Tikhon, elected in 1917 after the Russian Revolution, became a spiritual leader during a time of great turmoil. Despite persecution by the Bolsheviks, including the confiscation of church property and threats of execution, he maintained his faith and called for peace and repentance. His efforts to preserve the unity of the Russian Orthodox Church, including a controversial compromise to avoid schism, demonstrated his deep commitment to his people. Canonized in 1989, his legacy as a martyr for faith and humility remains significant in Russian history.
