Stansted Airport has a £70 million luggage system update

Stansted Airport has completed a four-year project to upgrade its £70 million luggage system. The project is the terminal's biggest refurbishment since it opened in 1991. The old conveyor belts and conveyors were replaced with 2.4 km (1.5 miles) of track and 180 automated carts. The system is designed by airport luggage experts Beumer Group. It is a completely automated system with new low-energy, faster and more efficient than its previous.
